News from Rock Band Live

ROCK BAND Nation stand up, it's your main man on the MIC RiNickulous here with the insider Rock Band Live tour scoop. The shows continue to excite, electrify and engage crowds on the third quarter of the interactive music experience that is Rock Band Live!
While the city, climate and time zone are constantly changing, the thrill of each show has been constant. Rock Band Live never fails to deliver the best of memories and music. Halloween was a ton of fun, with the peak of the holiday spirit on stage. I dressed up as "The Party Patriot" since we were at George Mason University and their mascot is the Patriot. The CAB, painted their faces black and white, The Plain White T's were creative with their custom-made costumes and Panic at the Disco sang their Halloween song, which was accompanied with a video they shot while on the road. Panic also showered the crowd with candy to ensure the complete Halloween experience.
Come on; let's head backstage so I can deliver the goods you won't see from your seats in the arena. Catering (the tours mobile cafe) is always a fun place because it combines food, friends and conversations. Food has a way of bringing everyone together. Whether it is breakfast with a tour manager, lunch with a guitar tech or dinner the band members, it's truly a different and special experience every meal. Everyday there are several options to eat but it's the dessert table that gets the most attention. Something about ice cream sundaes before hitting the stage and embracing thousands of fans hits the spot.
Catering is also a breeding ground for pranks and jokes and Rock Band Live hosts some true professionals. Unfortunately being the emcee makes me an easy target. Last week my cream of mushroom soup mysteriously included a WHOLE bottle of hot sauce; my mouth is still on fire. Outside of catering the pranks loom from the tour buses to the stage. The rookies and youngest on the tour is the Cab, so naturally they are targets of the other bands’ pranks. They take it in good spirit and I am confident they will become certified pranksters themselves. Between you and me, the buzz backstage is that there is a BIG prank set to unfold tonight!
Fear not Rock Band nation as you know I’ll keep you posted!!! I better get back to catering before my lunch becomes the victim of another condiment catastrophe!
